WeatherNext 2 is Google DeepMind's generative ensemble. What is drawn here is a four-field subset of its ensemble mean: 2 m temperature, sea-level pressure, precipitation and 500 hPa height. It is not the full product.
It is marked experimental everywhere on this site because it is a subset feed, not an operational one. It is also the only model here that does not come from ECMWF, which is what makes comparing it with HRES and AIFS useful: a second centre's learned model against the first centre's physics and learned models, at the same valid time.
Why it is on this site. tropics.earth already reads a thousand-member WeatherNext cyclone ensemble as a density rather than as spaghetti, and that page is the argument for this whole site: past a few hundred members, drawing every line is the wrong visualisation.
